3. 状语从句有9类
1）时间状语从句 ：表示主句动作发生的时间
- 常用的引导词（复合连词）：when (当...时候) , while(在...期间) , as (当...时，一边...一边） ，before （在...之前)， after(在...之后）, since（自从)，until/till (直到） , as soon as （一...就） , once (一旦），whenever （ 无论何时，每当）
- 例句：He was reading when I entered the room.
As soon as he arrives, I will call you.
2）地点状语从句：表示主句动作发生的地方
- 常用引导词 （复合连词）：where (在...地方）， wherever (无论哪里）
- 例句：Put the book where you found it.
Wherever you go, I will follow you.
3) 原因状语从句 ：说明主句动作的原因
- 常用引导词（复合连词）： because (因为）， since (既然）， as（由于）, now that (既然），for (因为 ）
- 例句：He failed the exam because he didn't study hard.
Since you are busy, I'll come back later.
4) 条件状语从句 ： 表示主句动作发生的条件
- 常用引导词（复合连词) : if （如果），unless (除非）， as long as (只要），provided that (假如），in case (万一), on condition that （条件是... )
- 例句：You can't succeed unless you work hard.
If it rains tomorrow, we will stay at home.
5) 目的状语从句 ：表示主句动作的目的
- 常用引导词 （复合连词）： so that （以便于），in order that (为了） ， lest (以免，正式用语），for fear that （生怕)
- 例句：He studies hard so that he can pass the exam.
She spoke quietly lest she wake the baby.
6) 结果状语从句：表示主句动作导致的结果
- 常用引导词（复合连词）: so ... that ... (如此... 以至于... ), such...that... (如此...以至于...)
- 例句：He was so tired that he fell asleep immediately.
It was such a beautiful day that we went for a picnic.
7) 让步状语从句 ：表示尽管存在某种情况，主句动作仍然发生
- 常用引导词（复合连词）：although (虽然），though （尽管），even though （即使）， while (虽然，所用于句首），as (尽管，需倒装), no matter how/what/when... (无论怎么样/什么/何时...)
- 例句：Although it was raining, we went out.
No matter how hard it is, I will try.
8) 方式状语从句：表示主句动作发生的方式
- 常用引导词（复合连词): as (像...一样）， as if/as though （好像）
- 例句：Do it as I told you.
He talks as if he knew everything.
9) 比较状语从句 ：表示主句与从句直接的比较关系
- 常用引导词：than (bi) , as...as（和...一样）， not as/so...as (不如...），less...than... (...不如...)
- 例句：He is taller than I am.
I am not as tall as he is.
