A.such 作为代词，用作表语时，可以放在句首产生倒装语序。从句是结果状语从句。
例如：

The flood was such that many people became homeless.

B.
在such ……that句型中 ，such 作限定词，修饰名词时，系表结构和动宾结构，都可以构成“部分倒装”。 从句是结果状语从句。
Such a nice man does he seem that we all believe him. （系表结构）
动宾结构，提前 such 也可以部分倒装。例如：
He made such a big mistake that the teacher criticized him. =
Such a big mistake did he make that the teacher criticized him.
Such a wise and inspiring leader was Abraham Lincoln that all the American people had a deep love for him.
亚伯拉罕·林肯是这样一位睿智而鼓舞人心的领袖，美国人民都深深地爱着他。

在“such...that...”句型中,such修饰名词,意思也是“如此……以致于……”但当名词前有many、much、(a) few、(a) little等词修饰时,句子中要用“so...that...”而不能用“such...that...”.例如：
There is so little water in the glass that I can't drink any more. 杯子里的水太少了，以致于我不能再喝到水了。
We had so little time to catch the train that we had to eat our lunch on the fly.
我们要赶火车时间紧张，只能匆匆忙忙的扒了口饭。
He had so few friends that he was very lonely.
他朋友寥寥，孤独寂寞无无人陪。
So many years has passed that we hardly recognized each other the other day.(倒装语序)
这么多年过去了，前几天我们几乎认不出对方了。
可数名词单数有形容词修饰，so/such都对，但注意结构不同。
so+形容词+a/an+名词
such+a/an+形容词+名词
It was so exciting a trip that we will never forget.
It was such an exciting trip that we will never forget.
这是一次激动人心的旅行，我们永远不会忘记。
顺便说一下，such…as中的as引导定语从句：
They talked in such simple language as children could understand. 他们是用连孩子们都能听懂的简单语言谈话的。
They talked in such simple language that children could understand it. 他们用简单的语言谈话，连孩子们也能听懂.
