1.in order to(that) 为了

“in order to 意思是“为了”,约等于to,但比to的目的性更强,后接动词原形 (in order to可以用在句首或句末,但so as to只能用在句末。)引导目的状语

in order that 后加从句,引导目的状语从句,从句中一般有情态动词 (in order to一般用in order that加从句来替换,而so as to一般用so that加从句来替换。in order that可以在句首,so that和so as to 一样不能在句首。)

He got up very early in order to/so as to catch the first bus。
