none，no one，neither和no这四个词是初中和高中生经常会遇到的，既是考试容易考到，也是很容易用错的几个词。它们都表否定意义，用法区别主要有以下一些：
1、none是指三者及三者以上中一个也没有，既可指人，也可指物
（1）None of the students wants to go there.没有一个学生想去那里。（指人）
（2）None of the books is mine.没有一本书是我的。（指物）
2、none既可代替不可数名词，也可代替可数名词时。
（1）None of us is from Shanghai. 我们当中没有一个上海人。（人是可数名词）
（2）None of the money is mine. 这些钱中没有一分是我的。（钱是不可数名词）
3、none作主语时，如果所代指的是可数名词，谓语动词可以用单数，也可以用复数。
（1）None of the students is going there.
（2）None of the students are going there.
上面这两句，表达的意思都是“这些学生没有一个人要去那里”，两句都对，谓语动词到底用单数还是复数，主要看说话的人想强调单个的人还是所有的人。当然，如果none所代指的词是不可数名词，就只能用单数形式了，如上面第2点的第（2）句。
4、No one表示“没有人”，不能指物，它作主语，谓语动词用单数形式。
（1）No one wants to go there. 没有人想去那里。（正确，谓语动词wants是单数）
（2）Those books are new. No one is mine. 那些书是新的，没有一本是我的。（错误，no one不能指物）
5、None后可以接介词of，但no one后面不能接of。
（1）I know no one of them. 他们中我一个人也不认识。（错误）
（2）I know none of them. 他们中我一个人也不认识。（正确）
6、neither表示“两者中的任何一个都不”，作主语时谓语动词用单数。
（1）Neither of my parents are workers. 我父母都不是工人。错误，谓语动词不能用复数形式are.
（2）None of my parents is a worker. 错误，父母是两者，而none指三者及以上。
（3）Neither of my parents is a worker.正确
7、肯定句变否定句时，both要改成neither, 而all要改成none.
（1）Both of the twins are going there.这对双胞胎两个人都要去那里。
→Neither of the twins is going there. 这对双胞胎两个人都不会却那里。
注意区别：Both of the twins aren’t going there.这对双胞胎并非两个人都要去那里。（部分否定）
（2）All of the workers have to work 12 hours a day every day.所有这些工人每天必须工作12个小时。
→None of the workers has/have to work 12 hours a day every day.所有的这些工作都不必每天工作12个小时。
注意区别：All of the workers don’t have to work 12 hours a day every day.并不是所有这些工人每天必须工作12个小时。（部分否定）
8、No是形容词，后面必须接名词，相当于not a、not an或not any.
（1）No of them wants to go there. 他们没人想去那里。（错误）
（2）He found no book on the desk. 他发现桌上没有书。（接可数名词单数，正确）
（3）He found no books on the desk. 他发现桌上没有书。（接可数名词复数，正确）
（4）He found no food in the fridge.他发现冰箱里没有食物了。（接不可数名词，正确）
